Phoenix Area Schools

The public school system in Maricopa County serves more than 625,000 students through 48 school districts. Additionally, there are more than 125 private, parochial, charter and college pre-boarding schools serving tens of thousands of other children.

Valley schools start in Mid August and end in late May. Registration in each school starts the first week of August. You will need to bring a birth certificate for age verification, immunization records signed by a physician’s office and a utility or telephone bill to authenticate your address.

If your Child is entering K-1, and your immunizations are incomplete, you’ll have two weeks to complete the missing shots. Also, your child will need a health checkup.
