Frequently Asked Questions
General
1. How do you rate the Top 100 Homes?
Our REALTOR® team identifies the attributes important to each category and then takes into consideration; Price/sq ft, options, location, amenities, schools, landscape, pools and floor plan (livable space). Our list will never match with everyone’s list, as there are subjective criteria for each individual’s taste, which is why we ask for help from homeowners and REALTORS® to let us know if we missed a great one. The main objective is to give everyone a place to start his or her home search. Enjoy and give us your feedback!
2. When are the Top100 Lists updated?
The Top100 lists for each category are updated each Thursday night by 7pm. As homes are sold the lists are updated within a few hours.

8. With all of the information easy to access can’t I just search on my own?
Home shopping online has become a mainstream way for the public. But going shopping alone – without the help of a professional – can become a huge handicap for homebuyers. Here are four reasons why home-shoppers need the help of a real estate professional (REALTOR®).
- Searching only online means shoppers can miss some of the best alternatives. Shoppers who limit themselves to only looking at real estate web sites will overlook some very good properties, possibly one that is perfect for them, and they won’t always get up-to-the minute information.
- Lookout for fake listings. People trying to collect page views so they can pump up their advertising returns can waste the time of real home shoppers. Using a professional to vet properties before spending a lot of time trying to track down these decoys will save time and ultimately money.
- Home value web sites only go so far. Sites like Zillow.com put prices out there that may or may not be an accurate reflection of today’s neighborhood or housing value. Working with a professional means the buyer gets the benefit of a broader range of knowledgeable resources and up to date information.
- Understanding the process. Once they’ve found a property, working with a REALTOR® means they’ll follow the right path to close the deal. For anyone going it totally alone can be frustrating and risky.
